Aberdour Castle is located in Aberdour in the Fife region of Scotland. It is a medieval-style castle that reflects Scotland's history.

The castle's history dates back to the 13th century, when it was built as a knight's castle by the Mortimer family. In subsequent centuries the castle was repeatedly enlarged and had many different owners. In the 15th century the castle became the property of the Bishop of St Andrews, who expanded it. In the 17th century the castle was the seat of Clan Leslie.

Aberdour Castle is known for many legends that attract visitors from around the world. One of the best-known is the legend of Black Agnes, the wife of a Scottish nobleman, who is said to have defended the castle from attackers. When English soldiers attacked the castle, Black Agnes threw pots of boiling tar at them, forcing them to retreat.

Today Aberdour Castle is open to visitors and offers wonderful views of the surrounding area. Inside the castle you can see many valuable exhibits related to Scotland's history, including furniture, textiles and Scottish shields. The castle is also surrounded by a beautiful garden, which provides lovely views of the area.
