Fyvie Castle (English: Fyvie Castle) is a castle located in northeastern Scotland, about 40 kilometres north of the city of Aberdeen. Fyvie Castle is one of the best-preserved Scottish castles and also one of the most beautiful.

The castle was built in the 13th century as a defensive stronghold, and its present appearance is due to a reconstruction carried out in the 16th century. In the following centuries the castle was repeatedly extended and rebuilt; for example, a new wing in the Georgian style was added in the 18th century.

The interiors of Fyvie Castle have retained many original features, such as wooden panelling, carved fireplaces and beautiful vaulted ceilings. Be sure to notice the richly decorated bedrooms, the dining room and the ballroom.

Fyvie Castle is also associated with an extraordinary legend. According to it, the ghost of the beautiful Elspeth Gray, who died in mysterious circumstances in the 16th century, inhabits one of the bedrooms. The legend says that Elspeth's ghost returns every year on Walpurgis Night to search for her lost ring.

Fyvie Castle is today open to visitors and offers an extensive exhibition devoted to the history of the castle and its inhabitants. The castle is also often used as a venue for various kinds of events, such as weddings and banquets.
