How Castle Scotland researches its guides
Castle Scotland is an independent travel and photography project focused on Scottish castles, tower houses and historic ruins. Guides are created from first-hand visits whenever possible, original photography, field notes and additional historical research.
Practical visitor information
Opening times, admission prices, access restrictions, parking and accessibility can change. Historical information
Historical sections are written to provide a clear introduction rather than replace specialist academic research.
