Thurso East Castle, also known as Wolfburn House, is a castle located near the town of Thurso in the Highland region of northern Scotland. The castle was built in the 17th century and was repeatedly rebuilt and extended over the centuries.

Throughout its history the castle changed hands many times and played various roles. In the 19th century it was converted into a hunting lodge, and in the 20th century it served as the seat of local government. In 2013 the castle was purchased by a private owner who began work on renovating and restoring it to its former glory.

Today the castle is not open to visitors, but it can be seen from the outside. It stands on a hill that offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Thurso East Castle is also frequently photographed by landscape and architecture enthusiasts.

It is worth noting that the area around the castle, and in particular Thurso East beach, is a popular spot for surfing in Scotland and attracts many enthusiasts of the sport.
